Halloween Playlist Variety of classics

Thriller was made by Michael Jackson, this is a lyrical, visual and well-choreographed master piece. This song is that is really associated with Halloween that it can be easy to overlook the fact that it’s also the most influential music video ever made, for a host of reasons only partly related to its spooky subject matter. This reward winning, having over 100 million copies all over the world. The theme of the song is a full moon and mysteries things start to happen, a man “Michael Jackson” turn into a wolf, zombies and other creatures all form together.

Darkness falls across the land
The midnight hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize y’all’s neighborhood
And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpse’s shell

Ghost Busters

This song is a song people can definitely sing along and have a fun or personal story or connection with people. Understanding that this song is associated with the Ghost Busters movies, that’s in the horror genre. The song was written by Ray Parker Jr. and he made it hot 100 Bboard with this single. There drums used in the song, are the famous Linn Drum machine effects, which had its samples heavily edited to give the song both a serious and eerie feeling at the same time. Parker inspiration came from something he saw, he was watching TV, saw a cheap commercial for a local service that reminded him that the film had a similar commercial featured for the fictional business. This inspired him to write the song as a pseudo-advertising jingle that the business could have commissioned as a promotion.

If you’re seeing things running through your head
Who you gonna call? (ghostbusters)
An invisible man
Sleeping in your bed
Who you gonna call? (ghostbusters) I ain’t afraid of no ghost
I ain’t afraid of no ghost

This song was created by, Beyoncé produced a predominantly trip hophip hop and R&B song, it contains a minimalistic sound with keyboards, bass and percussion. Beyoncé raps the spoken word segment of “Ghost” with robotic and reverbed vocals. Lyrically, “Haunted” contains sexually explicit and frank lyrics talking about desire.

In the video for her song Haunted, Bey takes a casual stroll through a haunted mansion. As she makes her way down the hall, she glances into the various rooms, each one containing a “frightening” or “freakish” scene. But I think King Bey used the scenes to push back on our (sub)conscious societal fears.

Spoon-fed pluralized eyes to find the beaches in the forest
When I’m looking off the edge, I preach my gut it can’t help but ignore it
I’m climbing up the walls ’cause all the shit I hear is boring
All the shit I do is boring
All these record labels boring
I don’t trust these record labels I’m torn
All these people on the planet

I’m your boogie man

This song was written by a bass player producer Richard Finch and front man Harry Wayne Casey, The “boogie” of the title is in the sense of dancing, shaking your boogie, and getting down, not with the scary kind of “boogie man.” So Walker “was the Boogie Man that brought all the funk and the good feeling and the vibes to the people every morning,” according to Finch. I’m your boogie man that’s what I am
I’m here to do whatever I can
Be it early mornin’ late afternoon
Or at midnight it’s never too soon
To want to please you to want to please you
To want to do it all all for you
I want to be your be your rubber ball
I want to be the one ya love most of all, oh yeah

This song was created by Nicki Minaj, the song was an idea that stems from Western visualize human identity, create of psychological theme of a alter ego of your mind, conveying them ugly thoughts and urges we try to escape from. Nicki Minaj, wanted to incorporate this view in her song and music video called “monster”. Kanye is featured in the song and I feel like it relates to Halloween in a way that’s creative and genius to how our mind is the most powerfully thing but can be the very thing that hunts use because we never stop being in our minds.

Yeah I’m in that Tonka, color of Willy Wonka
You could be the King but watch the Queen conquer
OK first things first I’ll eat your brains
Then I’ma start rocking gold teeth and fangs
Cause that’s what a mother*** monster do
Hairdresser from Milan, that’s the monster do
Monster Giuseppe heel that’s the monster shoe
Young money is the roster and the monster crew
