After getting traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Oakland Raiders for third and fifth round picks, Antonio Brown was released from the Oakland Raiders and joined the Patriots last week.
Antonio Brown’s issues with his foot and his fight to use his old helmet prevented him from playing all pre-season and head coach John Gruden had enough of his antics.
Despite his helmet issues, what led to Brown’s release was his use of social media. Brown after receiving multiple fines worth 215,073.53 dollars went on social media and posted all of the fines he received. To makes matters worse because of the fines Brown was not eligible to get his 29 million dollar guaranteed money he was supposed to receive.
The Patriots have always wanted brown on their team offering first and second round picks for the star wide receiver, the Steelers refused.
Brown is a 4 time all-pro that had over 100 catches and 15 touchdowns last season for the Steelers. Brown now also joins a Patriots team with Julian Edleman and Tom Brady a 6-time Super Bowl Champion and by the way, the Patriots did win the Super Bowl last year.
